This is Pemphero Wamwale Mphande. I am a writer, Philanthropist, Youth Political Activist, Young Politician, Entrepreneur and CSO leader. I know this sounds alot but it all describes what and who I really I am. Thank you for choosing to connect with me. I hope you can join me in the work of pushing the Malawian dream- to make sure every able Malawian has a job be it through an employer or self employment and are contributing to the growth of our economy.

Pemphero, The Writer
As a Writer Pemphero Mphande has published short stories online with African Writer. These include the “Meeting Oprah Winfrey” masterpiece. He also enjoys satire written as creative nonfiction for his Facebook audience with different stories every week. He has a big following for his work on social media.
Pemphero, The Philanthropist
As a Philanthropist Pemphero Mphande uses his influence to fundraise for different social causes. Firstly, he supports seven kids with secondary school fees personally. He also supports Maoni Orphanage with groceries in Chileka, Blantyre and also fundraises for them.
Pemphero, The Youth Political Activist
As a Youth Political Activist Pemphero championed the Gandhi Statue Must Fall campaign in 2018. He obtained an injunction from Blantyre high court to stop the erection of the statue in Blantyre to the support of millions of Malawians who felt that the statue of a foreigner was not wanted in Malawi. Further to this he organized vigils outside the Indian high commission in 2019 to compel them to rescind their decision to erect a Gandhi statue anywhere in Malawi.
Pemphero, The Entrepreneur
As an Entrepreneur Pemphero is the C.E.O of Central Springs Funeral Insurance company registered with the Reserve Bank Malawi. He is also the Chairperson of African Print Press and Mtukule Mnzako Investments.
Pemphero, The Young Politician
As a Young politician Pemphero Mphande contested for member of Parliament for Blantyre City South under Umodzi Party in 2019. At 26 he was one of the youngest contestants.
In 2017, he was appointed as the Public Relations Officer of Umodzi Party where also won at the party’s 2018 convention as the National Youth Director. He resigned in from the role in 2019 after elections.
Pemphero, The CSO Leader
Pemphero is the founder and Executive Director of Forum for AIDS Counselling and Training (FACT). You can check our www.factmalawi.org. He is also the Chief Operations Strategist of Citizens for Progressive Action, a youth political pressure group. He also sits on boards of three organizations including as the board chair of Youth for Change, a youth organization in Blantyre.
